Finally cracked how to get guests consent to send newsletters 🎉
The problem: having a very good email collection at check in but not have permission to use the emails.
The solution:
1 - Watch Radka trainning 😎
2 - Collect email at check in
3 - Send an email from the PMS with a link to a confirmation form
4 - Use mailchimp to automate the confirmation process (confirmation form + double opt in confirmation, human verification and thank you message)
5 - Automatically update my contact list
I know that this migh be obvious for some of you but i have to learn it from scracth and understood how to combine different techonologies. I am still learning how to use mailchimp for example or how to extract emails from my PMS.
Next step: prepare some newsletters, any ideas? Birthday, Spring, Summer, Winter, Weedings, Recepies from breakfast, just some quick thoughts i had.
