🚀 Welcome to Youth Education & Empowerment! 🚀
Hey future drone pilots! 🌟 This category is all about empowering YOU—the next generation of STEM leaders and drone enthusiasts. Whether you’re 13 and just getting started or already thinking about how to turn your drone skills into a career, we’ve got you covered!
✈️ 🐯 Join Our Junior Flying Tigers:
In honor of the legendary Flying Tigers, who were volunteer fighter pilots led by General Claire Lee Chennault and fought bravely in World War II, we’ve created the Junior Flying Tigers program. Just like the original Flying Tigers, who were known for their skill, bravery, and resilience, you’ll train to master your own set of aviation skills—with drones! Joining the Junior Flying Tigers means you’ll be part of a special group that’s committed to pushing the limits, learning together, and celebrating the legacy of those who pioneered aviation.
🎯 What We've Accomplished:
- Week-long summer camps with hands-on practical flight instruction for ages 13 to 18.
- Developed an 18-week hybrid high school course (online and in the field) earning 3 credit hours in Math, Science, and Technical Education from the Oregon Department of Education.
- At 13, you can start studying for your FAA Part 107 exam, and at 14, you’re eligible to sit for the exam.
- At 16, you can legally fly commercial missions with a Part 107 license and start earning!
- By 18, you could have four years of documented aviation experience—ready to launch a career in this exciting field.
🎒 Our Youth Drone Experience:
We have hands-on experience running week-long summer camps that offer practical flight instruction in the field for ages 13 (late) through 18. And if you like mixing tech with school, we even created a hybrid 18-week online high school course that was so good, the Oregon Department of Education awarded it 3 credit hours in Math, Science, and Continuing Technical Education! Yep, that means you can fly drones AND earn school credit—talk about leveling up! 💥
Our course includes multiple field instruction days and homework (yeah, homework, but it's fun drone homework). Plus, by age 13, you can start studying for your FAA Part 107 Knowledge Exam. When you turn 14, you can sit for the exam and train under a certified Part 107 pilot. By the time you hit 16 and are getting your driver's license, guess what? You can legally fly commercial missions as a side hustle!
✈️ Start Your Aviation Career Now:
- At 13, you can register your own recreational drone under Part 101 (or have an adult do it for you if you're younger).
- By 14, you can sit for your FAA Part 107 exam and start training under a certified pilot.
- At 16, you’re eligible to hold your Part 107 remote pilot license and start earning money by flying drones commercially.
- By the time you're 18, you could have four years of documented aviation experience!
🎓 College or Not—You’re Ready:
- Not interested in college? No problem—you’ll already have the experience and the skills to dive into a highly technical field.
- Want to go to college? You’re already a pro, with a resume packed with four years of aviation experience.
🤝 Support for Educational Institutions and Individuals:
We’ve worked with schools, and we’re always looking to inspire and train individuals like YOU. Whether you want to take this on your own or bring it to your school, we’re here to support every step of your journey.
We’re always on the lookout for those with the “Right Stuff”—so if you’re driven, tech-savvy, and ready to take on the skies, this is your place!
