Why Learn to Code: Part 1
(NOTE: This is NOT written by AI, it's written by me and my experience, promise 👌 Don't believe me? Put it in a checker 🙂)
The very first question for people who learn coding is why should they learn to code in the first place? What drives someone to want to code? Why should YOU learn to code? What value does coding provide?
The very first point, perhaps the most sought after and obvious: Money. Software jobs are still in high demand, despite the AI boom that's happening right now. AI is good, and it's getting better, but it's not fully "good enough" to replace developers yet. Don't forget, AI is built with software, and knowing how they work is still a competitive advantage in this day and age 🙂. There are still jobs available. Not long ago I was offered a job for $8k/USD/mo from a person who saw my website and liked my story there. That was like 2 or 3 months ago (currently 2024-01-22).
