1- Greetings from Tuscaloosa. Roll Tide! I just turned 54 last month.
2- Diagnosed with prostate cancer, Gleason 3+4=7 in May. Been tracking PSA since Dec 2021 when annual bloodwork showed 4.2. Before that, everything normal/within range. Two MRIs, multiple digit exams and urologist visits did not show cancer. Finally consented to biopsy in early May and bingo! 3 of 16 cores malignant, PSA currently 8.9. Been in active surveillance since biopsy/diagnosis but now leaning toward MRI assisted HDR brachytherapy. Two different urologists pushing robotic prostatectomy and soon. I'm definitely concerned about impotence and incontinence! Like what I'm seeing at MD Anderson and what Dr Steven J Frank is doing.
3- Here to gather/share information to make good decisions.
