I need to change my mindset first and foremost. I have "wanted" to lose weight for years. Wanting and doing are completely different. It's time to do!

Great to hear that Marc! What do you feel is the biggest benefit of doing it?

The biggest benefit will be the overall feeling of having more energy, less inflammation, and better health.

I can relate to Mark’s comment on wanting to loose weight for a long time!
As I look at the new year, I am firstly going back to basics … and Planning is my number one area to focus on …. When I plan what I will eat for the week I am successful!
Secondly, I will prioritize daily movement! I have a tendency to jump in too heavy and hurt myself! I will pace myself and continue to move this flesh in ways that do not injure myself! I will do what I can riding my bike, swimming, walking, lifting weights…. and working on my flexibility/stretching.

Great to hear that Keith! One step at a time and getting 1% better every day.

Focusing on daily actions and making the “better decisions” when it comes to food choice and portions.

you're on the right track, Chris! This is some thing all of us, struggle with, and one of the biggest focuses we will have throughout the challenge.

As I approach 50 years of age in February and being a rather large guy my whole life, I really need to make changes to be here for my 11-year-old daughter. Now being newly separated and soon divorced, I have some distractions, but I cannot use these as an excuse.
I have been working on my eating by changing to a Carnivore Diet. In these last 3 weeks, I have felt better. I have enrolled in a gym, and it is time for that part of my life to be more consistent. I am looking to visit the gym 3-4 days per week with cardio done on the Concept2 Rower at home.
I think that with my diet in better shape and getting into a new gym routine, I am hoping to become the best version of myself. Hopefully, working on myself inside and out will help with my mental through this time. Like Coach Eric used to say "1% Better than yesterday". Don't know if that is a perfectly accurate quote but that is what I remember. Looking forward to have some accountability to this community to be regular in my diet and gym.

Great to hear that Brian! Nobody can take control of your help and your life except you. We are going to be walking through these next 40 days together supporting one another but giving sound advice that's easy to implement.

Motivation is my number one concern. I don’t want to do the right thing when it’s to late.

Great to see you want to take action Phil! That's what this 40 day challenge is all about! It's go time January 13.

OK well I’m in. I didn’t see anything about any kind of challenge or anything. I don’t know how to use this app.
