What if the key to reducing stress and frustration at work was as simple as clear communication?
In my role working with my dad, I’ve helped him set clearer standards at work to reduce miscommunication and frustration. My dad often gets annoyed when tasks, like cleaning up or handling garbage, aren’t done, but I pointed out that the issue stems from unclear expectations. If the team doesn’t know exactly what’s required, they won’t follow through the way he expects.
I suggested we sit down and list all the tasks and standards he wants the team to follow, writing them down clearly so there’s no need to keep asking him. By making these expectations visible and consistent, the team knows exactly what to do without needing to ask. This way, everyone is on the same page, and my dad can focus on bigger issues without being bothered by smaller ones. In the end, it helps things run smoother for everyone.
