Today I met up with a group of real estate investors. One of them just got a property that has two separate houses on it! He was kind enough to do a walk-though of the the houses and discuss costs, planning, pitfalls, and more. One thing that I found super cool is that he framed out a "secret access hallway". This was between a future bathroom on the right and a future kitchen on the left. The reason that he created this was to run all the venting through there from bathroom vents and dryer, kitchen electrical, and plumbing. He will have an access door on the outside of the house. I thought this was a very clever way to do it so that if any contractor needs to access them, these lines and vents are not through the crawlspace or other harder to access areas. Here is a photo of this!
