Hey there! I'm Makeba :), a proud mother of seven (yep, seven!) amazing kids. Before diving into real estate, I spent 10 years in retail management—dealing with everything from late-night inventory counts to finding that one missing sock in the stockroom. After that, I took the plunge and ran my own real estate business from 2008 to 2021. Things were going great, until... I lost it all on three rehab projects. Ouch, right? But here’s the thing—I’m not giving up.
I’ve started over, and this time, I’m determined to turn things around and make it happen. I’m on a mission to go from zero to $10 million in 10 years through real estate wholesaling, and I’ll be sharing the whole messy journey—the wins, the stumbles, and everything in between.
Why wholesaling? Well, after losing our house to foreclosure and seeing our 401k get wiped out to $300 during the 2008 crash, I realized that traditional retirement paths just weren’t cutting it. Wholesaling offers bigger, faster profits than trying to slowly build savings or a 401k (been there, done that). Plus, it’s a business where anyone can start from scratch—just like I’m doing now!
So, let’s get real. This journey is going to be messy, but with every misstep comes a chance to learn and win. And that’s why we’re here: Mess Up And Win! Or as I like to call it, M.U.A.W (like a chefs kiss after an amazing meal—muah!) 💋🤌
