Day 1 Homework completed
Hey Guys & Gals! A little late to the homework party - been a full and busy week, all good things!
I've got a ton of experience with public speaking and teaching, and don't mind video at all. I've never invested in a fancy set up and don't plan to in the near future...I'm not convinced it's something that is hindering my progress at this point.
One of my biggest challenges is the time it takes to write and get things all formatted for social - both FB and IG. I don't have a support team and plan to stay lean like this for a while. So I'd prefer to find ways to be more efficient than to hire out to compensate for my lack of efficiency.
What this exercise made me realize is that even though I took 3 or 4 cracks at the video it was still WAY less time than a written post typically....and if I can do this coming off a call when I'm already camera prepped and in great energy from interaction, that might be smart leverage....Anyways, this was an impromptu unscripted share following a call and even though I've got CTAs in it, the intention is not marketing to this audience, it's genuinely what I'd say to my own audience. It's a little longer than requested at 6:30mins, but the bane of my existence has been to learn to write and speak LESS.
My own assessment - I do have to remind myself and keep in mind to look at the green dot, to slow down a bit, and not use filler words, and honestly gesticulate less. I also wasn't thrilled with how I finished or signed off, but wouldn't let that stop me from posting this.
Of course, very welcome to any constructive feedback!
