GDPR compliance? Lead scraping/cold email illegal in EU?

I'm from Belgium and work for a specific niche (law). I just signed up for ListKit and managed to get a list of 700+ partners at Belgian law firms. Which is sick!

BUT, whilst talking things through with my business partner we started getting worried about GDPR compliance.

The GDPR is a very strict EU law which covers privacy & data collection. As far as I can tell lead scraping / cold email is in breach with this law.

Since I'm targeting lawyers (who obviously know about GDPR) AND my name and business are connected to the emails, I'm afraid to take a hit to my reputation, or even get sued.

Anyways, would love some feedback here? Am I being a p*ssy?
