Hey everyone wanted to hop on here and share a quick convo I had with a real broker.
She was telling me how back in the day in order to get around the city to show her clients homes she carried around a map. It would take way longer and sometimes it became stressful to her due to all the streets that came with it. It was a mess using a map to her.
Long story short I connected her story of using maps (the old way) and the GPS (the new way) with Door-Knocking Cold-Calling (the old way) and Lead Generation using the Internet (the new way).
I still attend Realtor meetings as I am an agent who wants to continue growing, but to be completely honest with you I'm still hearing the same ol teachings. Hustle hard, door-knock on weekends, pass around your business card, etc. I'm not saying these won't work but what I am saying is, after learning about the power of social media advertising, it's night and day.
Social Media is here and it's here to stay so why not use it to grow our business right? I'm writing this because that little chat I had with that broker put it more into perspective for me. If we don't grow and learn how to use the gps (the new ways), then we're always going to be stuck using the map (the old ways). Don't be afraid to grow, wish you all the best!
