InBox & Leads list in Leadeth

When you have dealt with a lead that is showing up in the inbox is it OK to Archive it, even though they are still going through the sequence? It just makes it easier to know which ones have been replied to or activated after pause vs new ones into the inbox.

Also, I have been through the list of leads waiting to enter the sequence and have paused some that are obviously not suitable but slipped through the net when filtering from Sales Navigator. Will these just stay paused or do I need to delete them as well to ensure no messages are sent to them.
