Sharing some Analysis
Hi All,
Sharing the following in case it is helpful to anyone here. I started the training here about 6-7 weeks ago and have spent a couple of hours per day on a combination of going through the material, backtesting, trading live and reviewing/analyzing the trades. The backtesting started on 3/1/24 with mostly ES and over that period I have taken 170 trades(including live trades) with 97 wins for a 57% success rate. The Risk Reward for all these is 2:1.
Some stats:
ES: 79 trades, 45 Wins, 57% Win rate; start date of trades 3/1
GC: 44 trades, 24 W, 55% Start date: 4/29
NQ: 8 trades, 3 W, 38%; Start date: 4/29(I only traded NQ 8 times to focus on the other 3 though might relook at NQ)
CL: 39 trades, 25 W, 64%; start date: 5/6
I also did an analysis on what the $ profits/Win % would look like if I changed the Risk Reward on all trades starting at 1.5 all the way to 3.5 RR and interestingly 2:1 risk reward had the highest total profit assuming that for every trade I risk .5% to make 1%.
Other interesting stats:
The max loss streak during this time was 5, which happened twice. I also had a loss streak of 4 times twice which means that risking less than .5% of the account on each trade while on the EA account is probably best in case you hit one of those streaks, however once you have a PA and have built a buffer you could increase the risk and still be relatively safe assuming that the market behaves how it has been behaving the last 4 months.
The takeaway is that the strategy works as long as you are disciplined.
