This week, I had the chance to spend some time with a British guy who had moved to Fiji in his 30's. π«π― He's now 90. Needless to say, it was a time I'll never forget. His family welcomed me into their home like I was one of them. π‘
π It put a lot of things in perspective:
> Almost without fail the most stressful times make for really good stories later (or learning experiences).
> In the grand scheme of things, you'll have wished later that you didn't stress as much. The only one hurting was you.
> Love wins. Always. Sometimes, it's you, though, who has to take the first step.
> Zoom out: how will you feel about this situation 5 years from now? Pride about how you handled it? Grateful for the learning experience? Amazed at how well you navigated life?
> When situations seem like all hope is lost, there's always a way...it's just that you didn't know yet how it looked like as it was a very different solution from what you expected.
So, be clear on what outcome you want. Do you want to experience calmer mornings? Sleep through the night? Feel energized throughout the day, no matter what happens?
You don't always have to know HOW it'll happen. You just have to have clarity on what and how that'll feel like. π§ββοΈ
