Never being satisfied
This message will only relate to about 1% of people....
Growing up I was taught to be happy with what I have.
Ambition was confused for pride.
You weren't supposed to dream too big, or it meant that you were greedy.
What I've realized as an entrepreneur, is that money is a measurement of value.
Value added to the world.
And that means dissatisfaction is a powerful tool.
Don't get me wrong tho.
You should always seek out the good in every situation, look for the positives, and bet on the best outcome coming true.
Don't be a pessimist.
BUT
When it comes to your work.
Or at least when it comes to MY work....
I personally will never be satisfied.
There will never be an amount of money that I "retire" at...
The thought sounds horrible. And I've never been happier than in the last 6 months.
6 months ago $10k was crazy. But then you hit it and the goal doubles.
I've worked 12-18 hours a day, 7 days a week for 7 months now.
I don't remember the last time I took a day off.
And every day, the measurement of how good the day was, is based on how hard I worked.
Not the money, not how much fun I had, but how hard I worked.
Is this relatable to most people?
I hope not.
Because most people don't achieve great things.
1% of people do.
Measure yourself by the work you put in.
