Tranfers of data from Europe to the USA

I assume that there are some people in this group from Europe that have been successful with DR so can anyone tell me is it legal to download a client database from Europe to Highlevel servers which are located in the US? I can't tell for sure looking at these GDPR laws. Or is the only way to make this work if I'm located in Europe that I would get clients from US?
