Your body is part of your identity. Don't lie to yourself if you're not in the shape you want to be in. You only get one life in one body.
What you put into your body is what feeds it, what projects it forward. If you put garbage in, you can expect garbage results. If you take good care of it and feed it what it needs, you can expect good results.
Consistency is key, don't give up after a month. How long did it take you to get out of shape? How long did it take you to get fat? It takes discipline to get where you want to go, and no one else is going to do it for you.
Enjoy food, and enjoy life. I'm the last person here to say you shouldn't eat delicious desserts, but just do it in moderation.
Are you more likely to look back on your life and say "I wish I had taken better care of my body" or "I wish I had eaten more junk food"?
