Skild - a unicorn in the robotics world aims for AGI
Skild AI, a startup based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has recently made waves in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) - securing a $300 million funding. Founded by ex-Carnegie Mellon professors Abhinav Gupta and Deepak Pathak, Skild AI develops software to power various robots, including those with two or four legs. Their mission centers around creating a versatile AI brain for robots, aiming to achieve artificial general intelligence (AGI) in the physical world. What do you think could be the potential applications emerging from this technology?

Somewhat strangely I am starting to think maybe robotics will make greater strides toward AGI than other AI areas. The need to couple the robot to its environment for constant feedback seems to be a critical piece to the puzzle in making the system adaptive and responsive to external inputs, without which it's just executing and not all that intelligent.
