Hey all... I'm in process of merging one website with another. I've never attempted to do something like this before, and GoDaddy help articles have me spinning in circles. I manage both sites and feel that combining them would be beneficial for organization and time management purposes. Both sites are hosted on GoDaddy. I found advice on a YouTube video somewhere that mentions using something called cPanel to assist but hoping I can just do it all in without need for additional software.
On site 1, I have 11 pages. I'd like to take probably 9-10 of them to the site 2. Originally, I thought doing 301 redirects for each page would solve this for me. But that no longer seems viable option, as the only thing I've been able to do is redirect the entire domain of site 1 over to site 2. After spending four hours on this yesterday, I never figured out how to redirect individual pages. I have pages set up on site 2, and don't want to lose those, or my SEO rankings from site 1.
I guess what I'm looking to do is create a copy of site 1 pages, add them to site 2, then redirect site 1 URLs to site 2.
Is this even possible? Or will I need to manually redesign the pages from site 1 on site 2? GoDaddy doesn't seem to have an option to redirect individual pages. AND if I did find a way to do that, I *think* I'd still need to copy the pages prior to the redirect.
I have a big trip coming up on the 20th, so would like to have this finished before I go so that I don't spend all my free time trying to do this.
Any tips or advice would be very much appreciated. ✨🙏✨
