Some of us haven't known we can feel what we feel, have permission to wonder what we wonder, nor entertain the thoughts we think...because somewhere along the road, we were scolded, criticized, or dismissed. I'm not talking about times when we were challenged in a supportive way, told hard things we needed to be told, nor left to get curious for ourselves. I'm referring to the times we had a thought, question or feeling, as a little kid, and some adult we respected actually put their pain/annoyance/opinion on us, to learn "how we are supposed to be."
Feelings, thoughts and wondering, all get to have room AND don't have to be the final conclusion. As kids, we are learning from adults how to handle those feelings, thoughts and questions...and when we experience the dismissal of what's going on for us, we learn to shove past it, too. When we are walked through those moments with curiosity, putting language to it, and skills to practice navigating it, then we become equipped to understand what's going in in us.
I'm here to guide and equip you as an adult, in what you needed when you were little, so you can be unthreatened by your thoughts, feelings and wonderings, and not let self doubt and shame mislead you.
