I am Co-Creator & Transformational Facilitator of LoveAlive Transformative Arts & Therapy,
a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor through the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT # 2940) & NLP practitioner Life Coach.
But really, I'm just a regular guy. I always say: "I don't know nothin about nothin, that's why I ask so many questions" And I have been blessed with some epic teachers along the way. I do my best to honour my teachers.
I endured religious oppression and trauma growing up. I became the scapegoat in my family system. I lived with the underlying beliefs that I was unworthy of love and that I didn’t belong in the world. Perfectionism and people-pleasing are ways I adapted to try to feel accepted and safe, little did I know that they were compounding my problems. In my early adulthood, I struggled with addiction as a way to deal with the pain of my traumas yet the journey of recovery led me to healing my shame, guilt, and fear, discovering a path of self worth, self forgiveness, and compassion.
My unhealed traumas went into my relationships, and I pointed the fingers of blame at the other until one day, an powerful moment of clarity hit me like a ton of bricks: "I am the common denominator in all these problems, and I'd better do something about it". So I spent a great deal of time in therapy, a few different group therapies, one was weekly deep dive experiential processes which lasted for 5 years, I became a personal development junkie. And, this time around, I have achieved 17 yrs clean and sober of consecutive days.
So, for me it was very hard and I made a lot of mistakes along the way to get where I am. I am very passionate about getting my life hacks to Emotional Fluency out to the people that cover these 3 areas:
Communication, Relationships, and Recovery from Addictions.
I have written 11 books on the subject and there are 6 courses that my beloved and have in various stages of development.
I won't claim myself as an expert because my dad always said: "An ex is a has been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure." LOL
But I will share with you a lot of the teachings my teachers have shared and many that have all coalesced into teachings I can call my own, or "own" as my beloved and I are partners in this. We have a great deal of content to share and were excited to share it all here as this platform is all about engagement and making learning a lot of fun.
