My Starting Metrics
As I start this journey of a year-long Swing to Success, I first wanted to record my current distances for each club as a way to measure my progress. A couple of my goals are consistent ball striking & gaining distance. So this is where I’m starting from & I anticipate seeing improvement with all this data a year from now (as well as along the way).
We used Erik’s Trackman (professional launch monitor) to gather data on each club in my bag. I hit each one three times & each club is represented by a different colored dot & all three are circled in a white circle. I loved seeing the data in comparison all in one place. Very telling & good to see where I’m starting.
It wasn’t surprising to me that my shorter clubs showed up with more consistent distances as well as expected gaps between each club of about 10 yards. But my longer clubs were much more erratic & in some cases shorter distances than other shorter clubs. I know that will all change as I improve my technique with ball striking. Can’t wait to share this journey with all of you!
