Welcome to the Separation Season Challenge 馃挭馃敟!
Aloha friends & family!
We're here to get healthy, fit, and burn some fat this holiday season (Dec. 4th - Dec 29th is the duration of the challenge). This is my gift 馃巵 to you 馃槈.
We'll be leveraging the following tools to do so:
#1. Fasting - This is an extremely potent and effective tool for burning fat. It's completely free to do, it's cancer and disease preventative, and it can be practiced by anyone, regardless of your dietary preferences. I'll be sharing my fasting experience and guiding the group through 4 weeks of fasting challenges. #2. Nutrition - My suggestion is to eat whole foods (eg meat, veggies, fruit, seeds, nuts, dairy, and legumes) and exclude alcohol and sugar. Rice, pasta, bread, and other complex carbs are discouraged, but you do what is right for you. To maximize fat burning, I'd suggest eating foods from the following food pyramid. #4. Accountability/Community - Right here, on this platform we can share recipes, experiences, and ask questions, not just to me, but other members of this health-conscious community.
By the end of this challenge, I want you to become more sensitive to how food, fasting, and exercise affect your mind and body.
Having tried many diets, exercise programs, and fasting programs over the years, I've learned that the process of improving health & fitness is a never-ending journey of trial and error. I like to approach my health like a scientist! I run experiments to see what works and what doesn't. I get inspired by others who have the same goal or health issue that I do, and who have achieved success. Then I try their experiments to see if I can recreate the same results for myself.
In this community, we are all scientists looking to improve our health & fitness. I want this to be a place where we can share experiences and lessons we've learned from our journeys thus far. Also, a place to find support, comradery, and accountability as we head down this path together!
Know that I'll be uploading resources and content to this platform, as this program is not a polished gem just yet, and I'll make announcements as I do.
