Goal Setting
Whenever I get overwhelmed, I ask myself:
#1: What's the goal?
#2: What's the game plan and where do I stand?
#3: What's the obstacle in front of me that I want to avoid?
#4: What are all the things I think I should be doing right now and all the things I actually need to do?
#5: Have I prioritize them?
#6: Before I consume anything rewarding/new: Did I work through all the tasks on my Daily Task list
Let me break it down for you:
STEP #1: Define your goal: What do you want to achieve within the next quarter(90 days)? Feel free to use these coaching worksheets to ensure you’re setting smart defined goals.
STEP #2: Get clarity on your gameplan Next get a rough overview of what’s inside the training. Then, use this Worksheet to sit down and define what you’d need to do to reach your goal.
The worksheet helps you to clarify priorities. After you’ve mapped out and prioritized your action steps - you have a gameplan 🎉
👉 If you get stuck or want feedback, share your gameplan in the community.
STEP #3: Start implementing “Implementing” is a fancy word for focusing on getting the very next action step in your gameplan done 😅
If you’re unsure about how to complete the step - try to break it down further. Utilize the training, tools and community to complete the action step faster and better and to eliminate any roadblocks you encounter. I like to have my quarterly goals always in front of me (write them on a paper - park it next to your laptop). Before I touch anything else on any given day, I use my daily self-management worksheet that’s basically the Eisenhower Matrix to clarify my tasks for the day: Daily Task list
STEP #4: Boundaries for content consumption
As I am knocking off tasks from my daily to do list, I naturally consume content that helps me to get things done. That’s not always the content I am most excited about watching. So what I do is that I have training that I am super excited about watching and I am consuming them as a reward after I get my daily tasks done.
I hope this is helpful. Remember - Growing is a verb. Nothing happens until you get things done. You need to have a clear goal that you work towards by knocking off prioritized action steps from you to do list daily.
My Game plan is this! You can steal this too!
