How to Practice Editing?

Hey, I'm new here, and I'm curious what would be the best way to develop my editing skills. Like what is a daily habit or a simple way of finding a way to edit everyday.

I've heard of recreating edits I like or doing fan edits for small youtube channels, but I was curious if you guys have any other recommendations for building up my skills.

(Btw my goal is to be a Cinematic Vlogger or Video Essayist, but I'm also curious about messing around with hyper edits and motion graphics)
