I did scary adult sh*t today…

Hey everyone,

I did some scary adult sh*t today and I wanted to share my feelings on this in hopes to inspire or to start a convo on this.

Today I did 2 things that were on my to-do list for a very long time and that I was putting off, because I was scared of it. Today I decided to do them scared anyway.

1) I contacted a tax consultant for my business. Business in Germany is confusing and scares the sh*t out of me, because I am afraid to do any mistakes. Mistakes in regards to money get fined pretty hard here and not knowing stuff doesn‘t protect you from the law. I don‘t know what it is, but I was always scared to contact a professional consultant for it, although I knew that I needed one.

Currently I am not earning anything from my coaching business yet, because I am still in a stage where I am working with beta clients for free in order to validate and see whether or not my offer works. But someday, I will charge something for sure, and that‘s when I‘ll need to know how to create the invoice, what to look out for and especially how I do taxes. Let‘s hope I can find a good fit!

2) I arranged an appointment at the Italian consulate. It‘s nothing too complicated or serious, I just want to apply for a new ID-card, but I am so freaking scared. I was born in Switzerland and moved to Germany in 2018. I can speak Italian because of my parents, but if you don‘t speak it on a daily basis, it‘s usually a bit rough to get back into it. And especially if you have to deal with governments, I always was scared to not understand 100% what the documents says. But …. I am doing it scared anyway and I hope I‘ll have a nice person at the consulate to assist me!

Long story short …. why are adult things scary? And reminder: do the things scared anyway! 🤭
