Chase credit line increase 馃殌
Chase offers two opportunities for a soft pull credit limit increase.
Option #1: In-App
To find this opportunity in the Chase app, go to the Credit Card Dashboard and navigate to the Manage Account section. Look for the "Request a credit limit increase" category under "Transfer A Balance". If you are pre-approved for a CLI, Chase will ask for your permission to submit a hard pull. If they request a hard pull, it means you are not pre-approved for a credit limit increase via the app.
Option #2: Phone Call
Call the number on the back of your card and ask for a credit limit increase. Inquire whether it will be a soft or hard pull. If you are pre-approved for a CLI, the representative should mention that it is a soft pull and provide a disclaimer before requesting it for you. There are two possible outcomes: you may get instantly approved for the CLI with the new credit limit provided over the phone, or you may be informed that it is pending and will need to wait 1-3 days for the results. Multiple credit limit increases can be requested in a day.
It's important to note that Chase may also automatically increase your credit lines without you asking, which will always be a soft pull. However, it is recommended to double-check with Chase before proceeding as terms and conditions may vary.
