Hello everyone My name is Andrés Colonna and I am VFX artist and motion designer. I love everything that has to do with CGI, and I like to learn everything about it for both film and video games, I animate in 2D and 3D. I do 3D modeling and sculpting, texturing, rendering, rigging and pretty much everything that involves creating anything in CGI or in post production, I started as a video editor and I still edit a lot and get a lot of projects on that side. For compositing, I use a lot of after effects and know the ins and outs pretty well and I am at about intermediate level of nuke and of course I want to full transition to nuke for everything that involves compositing of VFX work.
I want to join the community because I want to be able to learn from other VFX artist new techniques and ways of accomplishing tasks, and also I want to be able to get more VFX gigs to work on to expand my experience in that field and maybe makes partners or join a team here in the community.
Demo reel was a collaboration between Lendon and myself where we worked on certain shots together and merged both of our reels together. He has definitely has helped me come a long way with my first reel when I first joined.
Hi there, my name is Junior. I am a Nuke Compositor with 7 yrs of experience within the VFX industry. I mainly worked on TV series and a few independent/feature films. Here is a link to all that I have worked on https://www.imdb.com/name/nm7737559/ Currently, I'm learning Blender to model/texture/light/animation and aiming towards using those skills to do side gigs(commercial work) when not working with a company/studio. Here is my compositing reel: https://vimeo.com/871188319 I look forward to getting to know everyone and welcome any feedback/advice or even a chat!
Hey man! So glad you decided to join (and also glad we didn't scare you away with our craziness LOL). Anyways, great work man!! Soooo The Man in the High Castle eh...that's awesome! That was Barnstorm right? I've always heard that they had moved to a Blender pipeline by the time they worked on that show. 😍
"Hello everyone! My name is Gurpreet Singh, and I'm from Canada. I'm passionate about computer animation and motion graphics, and I have experience working with various Adobe software. I also have intermediate-level knowledge in Blender.
I'm excited to be a part of this group and connect with fellow artists and professionals in the field. Currently, I'm working on building my portfolio and honing my skills in creating action-packed VFX, drawing inspiration from Marvel movies and anime live-action adaptations.
One of my future goals is to sell my work online and earn through my creations. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you and seeking guidance on how to effectively market and monetize my animations. Any advice, tips, or suggestions on selling artwork online, building a strong online presence, or breaking into the action VFX industry would be greatly appreciated.
I'm open to collaborations, feedback, and opportunities to grow as an artist. Thank you, and I'm excited to be a part of this community!"
My name is Wesley, I was born, raised, and live in Brazil, in a city called Jundiaí, close to São Paulo (Cadê os brasileiros desse grupo??)
Like most of you, I "met" Andrew Kramer when I was a kid and made several homemade videos playing with After Effects.
As the VFX market in Brazil is very small, I spent many years of my life working in the field of dental prosthetics, I worked as a poker player and I even thought about becoming a professor of economics. However, around 3 years ago, a "penny fell on my head" and I realized that, because of the internet, it wouldn't be that difficult to work with what I've always liked.
I have a good AE base and am slowly migrating to Nuke. Currently, all of my comp shots that are on my reel were done on Nuke, which for me is a huge win!
My goals:
- I want to one day have the pleasure of taking my parents to the cinema to watch a famous film, and they can read my name in the credits
- I want to earn enough to support my family, especially now that my wife is pregnant. 👶
- I want to have a fixed position as a compositor and have that as my only profession.
In my personal life:
- From time to time I still like to play poker, I prefer tournaments, but if someone calls me I'll play any game.
- I'm a piano teacher, I like jazz fusion and I'm part of a band that plays Brazilian rhythms.
- I really like video games and I have a tattoo of Zelda's triforce on my calf.
You can call me to talk, despite my English being a bit shy, I like talking and meeting new people.
My website, which is still being polished, is wesleyvfx.com.br here you will find my reel and some projects I worked on. 😁
Hello everyone... Im Buddy Gheen and pleased to meet you. Im just putting my toes in the water and wanting to explore new things... one being becoming more reliant on NUKE more than ever. I am what I call an AE Jedi- last of an old order who is slowly being one of the last to bend the knee. Although after 20 years Im still making money and doing the VFX work in AE. There is obviously more need for Nuke now - as for opportunities in the current marketplace.
Hi my names is Coen. I am brand new to the game. I am currently a Sous chef looking to get out of the kitchen. My ultimate goal is to acquire a better quality of life and to be a part of something I can feel proud of. I love video games and anime even though I don’t have time to play them. Visual effects, motion design, and 3D are extremely fascinating elements that I want to grasp.
I want to learn from the best and get mentored from the best. Right now I’m on feet for over 12 hours a day dealing with people from all walks of life while managing the quality of dishes that come out my kitchen. I’m tired of it. I want remote work and a change of pace.
I’m currently working on after effects and then hopefully once I get the basics down I can glide over to unreal engine and nuke. I am open to all tips and suggestions. I am the student 🙏🏽
Hi, I am Ruturaj Makwana (RJ) from Gujarat, India.
I am an artist by heart, I call it a god gift, my mom and grand mom & dad are really good at art in general 🥰
I started drawing before I was maybe in 1st grade, my mom used to help me with school drawing competitions 🥰
I have worked as a professional tattoo artist for 6 years (that was ~10 years ago!)
I am very much interested in 3D, VFX, Motion Graphics, CGI, Videography / editing, Photography / editing and Digital / AI art.
(I did had a few setbacks (around 6 to be exact!) during those 10 years which were major ones due to which I wasn't able to follow my passion for this field, to make it brief and I'm comfortable to mention it; I am a bipolar survivor - I feel really well and good for the past couple of years to be honest 😇 - meditation & music therapy helped a lot more than the medicines tbh )
I was working as a Videographer and Photographer earlier recently before I joined this community on 14thJune2023, where mostly the focus was around creating and editing reels and shorts for the company.
I mostly used VN app for that work.
I am a beginner in this field (3D, CGI, VFX), I am learning daily,
I have basic knowledge of softwares like After Effects and I've Just enrolled in a course of Blender on Udemy which is of 53hours and I've completed 5% of the lessons.
I'll enroll in Unreal Engine Course in a few days.
I saw your content on YouTube as I created a new Channel to only watch and focus on all the fields I mentioned so that I get only the ads and recommendations of those topics in specific only 😄
Just today (14June2023) I subscribed to your YouTube channel as I saw it in my home feed, I saw your video today in which the thumbnail says ROTO AI.
I have seen most of your website - course content and I am really interested in joining the course as well.
I like MUSIC a lot lot!!! it's my saviour !!! 😄 all day !!
I love Hand Lettering as well and I have kind of developed a new style for me in hand lettering through brush pens and pencils ( my hand lettering ig: rj.letters )
My Goals:
Being Successful in this field
Being really really good at all the requirements of this field
Making it a fun process, develop a new model around it to teach others, most probably make a platform (as I will get more comfortable making youtube videos about it 😊)
Learning the business side of it all (Being as cool as Chris Do or better 😁)
Creating better relationships
Being a multi-millionaire, all positive ✌🏼
This is a new beginning for me ✨ blessings to all ✨
Thanks for accepting my join request here on this community 🪷💙🙏🏻
Hi, My name is Madison but most people refer to me as "Taz"
I'm an amateur VFX generalist from Saskatchewan, Canada where I have been trying to work for a while, I have had some pretty cool projects that I've been lucky enough to work on over the years but there really isn't anyone around here with actual budgets so basically everything I do ends up being for free or very little compared to the work necessary. As a result of this, I've never been able to have a job in the industry and have always been basically the only VFX guy around who does more than basic compositing so I've only been self taught and never really had the opportunity to learn from or with anyone really. I'm nervous given that this is basically the first time I've really been around people who actually know what they are doing but I'm also really excited to get to see what I can learn from everyone here.
Though I enjoy working on my own projects, I really love working on VFX projects for other people's short films, movies, ads, etc because it always motivates me to cut fewer corners, push myself to improve more, and learn skills that I wouldn't have thought about otherwise because their ideas are different than mine would be
I mainly use After Effects and Blender for the majority of my work with the occasional other program when needed and earlier this year I started working a little bit with Unreal and Houdini which I hope to learn more about and take advantage of soon.
My main goals are:
To improve, I want to be good at everything that I do and am so far behind where I should be at this point in my life
To build up my portfolio so that I can actually get work as I have always struggled a lot with marketing, budget, pricing, etc
Ultimately, to get consistent work in the world of VFX because I would love nothing more than to finally be able to make a living doing what I love
I have attached my most recent Demo Reel, It's still pretty rough and when I made it, I only had an hour or so to gather all the shots and edit it so the edit is pretty rushed too but I'm working on building better shots for it over the next little while
Hi my name is Timothy Wong I am a video editor and VFX artist located in New York City.I use Premiere and After effects to do most of my work. I learned most of my skills through going through video effects and tutorials but I feel with the right help I can create more realistic looking effects in AE. My goal is to become great at creating video effects so I can earn a living from creative work.I also direct, shoot and edit music videos that is what I do best.
Hi, sorry, it turns out the introduction column is here. I looked at the wrong place earlier, but okay. Hi everyone, glad to join here. Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Hatim from Indonesia. Currently, I work as a Roto and clean-up artist at a studio in Jakarta. But now, I'm learning compositing and also 3D. I'm looking for opportunities to freelance. And here are some of my showreels. I'd be happy to receive criticism and feedback.
Hi My name is Chris Olpin. I live in Utah. Little fun fact about me is that I used to be a professional blader and skated in 2000 X-games. Had to give it up in 2012. One of those injuries ended on MTV on a show called Scarred. Here is the link of that injury, if you can stomach it 😂
I find it much safer on the other side of the behind the camera these days. I have been filming and editing a littler over 13 years now. When I get stressed form editing, I find myself making VFX content, that doesn’t make any sense to keep me sane, if that makes any sense. Been tinking with VFX for 3 years now as just a hobby. I was recently laid from my editing/videography job of 4 years, due to my boss not able to pay us anymore. I’m currently freelancing.
I’m going through a divorce and have 2 girls, 9 and 13. I’m turning 41 in a couple days and basically having a midlife crisis
Here is a link to a montage of my random VFX work 😂
hello everyone, my name is Patrick Siemer, I am from Chicago but have lived in San Francisco for 25 years. I recently had to take a month long break from the AIA to attend to some family matters, but now I am back and ready to accelerate. I have been an After Effects User since version 1.0, and it has been the main tool of my career. I have been a Commercial Director, and Broadcast Designer, Photographer, Animator, and UX Motion Designer. I worked on 6 Pixar featurre films, a handful of documentaries, a ton of Music Videos, lots of Broadcast Design and one live action film. I stopped using Cinema 4D about 10 years ago when my career moved me into more UX Motion Design. I want to learn Blender, Nuke and Unreal, and am excited to see how this commmunity works together. You can see some of my work at https://siemer.myportfolio.com/

Please find my 3d and 2d Portfolio and showreel mentioned below, Thank you!
I'm predominantly an After Effects & Nuke Compositor, After Effects Motion Graphics and Premiere Pro Editor, but I also have generalist 3D skills with Houdini, Maya, C4D. Bit of an all rounder I guess... once I'm given a project and some time to figure things out I usually get the job done!

I'm Hari Prasath from Tamilnadu, India, a full-time professional in the healthcare equipment industry. As a hobbyist, I enjoy assisting my contacts in digitally expressing their thoughts and ideas. In my journey, I've proficiently handled Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Revit, Blender, 3dsMax, as well as various office and industrial software for acquaintances, offering my services without charge.
Though I'm aware that such work is typically billed per minute, I prioritized their satisfaction, realizing later that "TIME IS MONEY."
Currently, I contribute to the "D Counts Dance Studio" (https://www.youtube.com/@DCountsDanceStudio/videos) as a key member, taking charge of camera work, editing, and publishing on YouTube. I've also helped in assisting with titles, color correction, and subtitles for few short films.
By the way, I am proficient in English, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, with proficiency in both written English and Tamil.
Embarking on a new chapter, I aspire to build a career where I can escape the daily 5 to 6-hour commute. Special thanks to Vivek Kotiya , whose guidance led me to join this community.
I am open to exploring diverse opportunities and would appreciate the team's guidance in choosing my niche for my new career ahead. Looking forward to this exciting journey!!!

My name is Vincent, 36 years old, from Agen south west of France.
Unlike many of you, I'm not a VFX professional, but I do work in medical imaging (scanner-MRI).
Since childhood I've been passionate about SFX and VFX.
In high school I discovered After Effects and took part for free in a few starwars fan films with basic effects etc... a short film and a few promotional reports. A few months ago, one of my old buddies, now in the film industry, told me to "perfect your skills and I'll be talking about you for future projects", so I started to immerse myself in After Effects with UDEMY training and tutorials (video copilot, production crate, Action VFX etc...).
My goal today is to fill in the gaps and perfect my compositing skills, and gradually make the transition from my current job to visual effects.
My name is Levi Borland. I am a professional VFX Compositor and Motion Graphic Designer with 20 years of experience using Adobe After Effects. A client turned me onto this platform and I hope to use it to network and find work. My ultimate goal is to get familiar using Nuke so I can be more marketable to larger VFX Studios and hopefully land myself a full time job with one of them. I plan on using the available resources here and participating in the collaboration sessions to make a new and more professional Showreel. In the mean time, here is my 2022 Showreel for anyone interested in checking it out. https://youtu.be/xiXkaD5wCqo
I look forward to working and collaborating with everyone here. Please feel free to reach out to me. I will follow back anyone who follows me. Look forward to meeting everyone.

Hello. I'm June Moody and I used to work as a compositing professional years ago for the studios, got out of the work, and now want to get back in. I can always learn more about Nuke, After Effects, and UE. Would like to work on a portfolio with a team and find clients.
I’m Brendan, living in good ole Texas. My background is mainly in cinematography and editing. I’ve learned some VFX along the way, partially out of project necessity, partially because I’m a nerd and think it’s fun to try stuff. On most of my projects, I’ve been responsible for every aspect of the production, so improved VFX is basically a necessity at this point. Completing a well-executed edit with seamless VFX, sweet transitions, and timely sound design feels like playing a videogame. Some videos on this link are a bit dated, but here is where I keep many of my past projects: https://www.youtube.com/@brendandavis6596/videos
I predominantly use Premiere and After Effects, though I was playing around with Blender for a bit. I don’t have an overwhelming desire to become a 3D animator, but learning how to manipulate the assets is a pretty useful skill. I mainly would like to improve my compositing ability (a lot), as it serves as a direct complement to filmmaking. This includes finally confronting the Nuke monster.
In any case, I’ll end this intro rant before it gets too long. If there’s something someone thinks I can help with, reach out. Happy to lend a hand
I'm Luciano Correa, I live in city of Montevideo, Uruguay, right here in beautiful South America. My journey in the creative world has been quite the adventure. Starting as a traditional painter, I transitioned into the realm of graphic design, and for the past 7 years, I've been honing my skills as a Nuke compositor artist.
During this time, I've had the privilege of contributing my skills to a wide array of projects, including feature films and advertising campaigns. One of my proudest roles has been as a VFX supervisor on set, where my primary focus has been crafting HDRI images for the 3D lighting pipeline.
Now, I'm eagerly looking to expand my horizons by taking on freelance opportunities and building connections within the industry.
Here's a snapshot of my skills and history:
I'm an intermediate-level compositor, well-versed in Nuke and After Effects.
Additionally, I'm proficient in tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Mocha Pro.
As for my goals:
I'm passionate about continuing to learn from the incredible talents around me, so I'm here to soak up all the knowledge I can about Nuke.
I'm also eager to dive into the world of Unreal, recognizing its potential as the future of 3D. It's a skill I'm determined to master.
My aspiration is to be an active part of the global VFX artist community, working with and learning from fellow creatives worldwide.
In my personal life:
I find joy in crafting and painting 3D prints.
I'm the proud guardian of four cats and two border collies, each with their unique personalities.
I'm an avid gamer and enjoy playing video games of all genres.
I'm a devoted caregiver to my elderly mom.
Feel free to explore my under-construction website, and don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like to connect or have a chat. Let's embark on this creative journey together!

Hi. My Name is Shuhail. I am here to learn Houdini primarily as a hobby. Unfortunately, I can only do these part-time because I am a medical student and enjoy doing VFX and video/image editing. Recently, we took a break from studying. That is when I discovered this community. However, I was recently approved following our short vacation break. But I am still excited to learn this. Learning Houdini has been on my wish list for a long time. And I am glad to see a second step in this journey, as my first step has already been taken through a random YouTube tutorial on houdini. I really hope to master houdini by the end. A few of my videos can be found in the "SHORTS" section of my YouTube channel. The remaining edits (videos and images) are on my Instagram, but I deactivated it due to the distraction and its impact on my studies and mental health. Youtube: https://youtube.com/@shuhail_shafeeque That was all about me, hehe. Thank you for reading. <3.
Hey, I'm Bethany. I animate and have been learning for 5 almost 6 years. I normally do 2D, that's what I'm more interested in, although learning 3D would be cool too.
My goals:
Learn more animation skills or other cool things.
Get my career going as an animator as fast as I can. (use skills for money, fun, and meetig others)
Grow my motivation and creativity and maybe help others eventually.
Hello everyone, I’m Lorenzo Mercugliano. I’m passionate about 3D graphics and compositing, with a solid academic foundation from the Academy of Fine Arts and a Master’s in Computer Graphics from SkyUp Academy. I’ve specialized in Nuke compositing, constantly refining my skills and embracing advanced workflows. I’m dedicated to continuous learning, drawing insights from challenges, and thriving in the dynamic realm of compositing. I'm Joyce, working as a freelance video artist and designer in Manila. I usually do theater, concerts, and live events. Here is my website: https://jagstudio.co
I usually do VFX and motion graphics and would like to expand on what I know. I feel like I have some learning gaps and have been exhausted with my current job. I hope to be able to join and work on a new niche. And have work-life balance lol
My reel is mostly on VFX for live events so I need to learn new skills to add something to my portfolio and land into a new niche of film/commercial VFX and 3d animation.
Greetings. If you happen to feel intimidated by being around all these VFX Wizards, I am here to end that insecurity for you. Because I know NOTHING. Literally. What the hell am I doing here then? Screenwriting has been my trade for over 30 years. I’ve worked for directors like Justin Lin, who directed Star Trek Beyond and most of the Fast and Furious movies. I also direct when I can… and currently, I am making one of the first AI feature films and I need your help. Yes, that is why I have joined this group. I need your help to make this movie. I’m like a Trojan Horse, but with good intentions. I’d like to recruit ambitious artists to be part of history with me, to make one of the early AI feature films. We will have to do this one scene at a time, but with the technology out there, there is no doubt that we can make something great. Do I have a budget? Yes. Not a Hollywood budget, mind you, but we have some money. We also have investors who may come in, once we can show some footage. Justin Lin himself may get involved, depending on how impressive the early footage will be. It’s definitely possible, I’ve discussed it with him. But we’re in the early stages and right now and we need to start putting together some scenes. This is the trailer to EXIGENT, which I edited 2 years ago, compiling footage from 50 x movies and video games https://vimeo.com/576512677 If you’re interested in joining me on this adventure, let me know, I will provide more information (I have also posted storyboards in the group for you to see). I am open to anyone right now - and I aim to learn as much as possible. I believe cinema is about to endure a seismic shift and I want to be part of that evolution, and for me, it begins with this film, EXIGENT. Let’s talk.
I strongly aspire to be a source of great strength in the field of F, but it is not devoid of some projects that I have implemented .. But I want more success and transfer this field to the Arab world to be at the top

Welcome to the community. I recently joined up myself and have a bit in common with you based off what I learned from your introduction. The only difference is I'm an After Effects Wizard trying to learn Nuke...not the other way around like you. I also use Mocha Pro pretty heavily and often use it somewhere in my pipeline whether necessary or not. If you need help or advice with your website let me know. I'd be glad to lend a hand. It could use a bit of work, but nice job so far. Anyways...welcome to the community. Feel free to reach out or ask any questions that come to mind. Look forward to getting to know you.
Hey Everyone! I'm Aaron Ocheltree, I currently live in a small town in Montana. I've been doing VFX for about 7-8yrs, mostly as a hobby. I've done some free work for some low budget films, a few videos for some friends bands and some motion graphics for a few friends business.
I'm excited to join the community and I think it will be an excellent opportunity to learn from each other. YouTube is great, but collaborating with other people is so much more helpful. I've been an Artist most of my life, and I have always learned best from other peoples thoughts. "A bottle can't read it's own label". So I respect and encourage others to give me their honest opinions about my work.
I work with Photoshop, After Effects, Blender, Fuse, and most recently Embergen.
welcome to the mad house!!! If you upload your reel to produtionflow.io or frame.io and do a separate post about it we can give detailed notes with annotated frames

Playing video games
Reading to myself or my wife/daughter
Investigate things in the world that spark my curiosity
Hello all! Glad I could join you here. My name is Bruno and I'm from Brazil. I want to go for a mid-life carrer change into vfx and motion design, coming from software development.
I've been studying AE for 15 months now, trying to implement techniques in a few private social media videos whenever free time allows. To a lesser extent, along the way, I grappled with C4D for 3d motion tracking and Stable Diffusion generative ai. Due to my involvement with a capoeira group here in Brazil, I've been amateurishly filming people dancing, moving, or playing instruments. Practising shooting skills but also drawing inspiration for video editing and compositing. No expensive filming equips yet, just a phone camera.
I hope my IT profession skills make way for a quicker understanding of the groundworks of vfx artistry. If anything else, it allows me to adapt my workflow regularly and explore pathways for problem solving very autonomously. Deciding for a carrer change this stage of life and all, I feel it's not my place becoming a master vfx wizard, but I'm sure I can consistently deliver if I remain practising and doing more online courses. I'll sort out a few videos for a demoreel sometime, as well as clean up a fresh insta account I made, thinking it could portfolio my past and future works.
Going foward, maybe freelance, or, luck willing, employed, I also hope I can mingle my interests with my future earnings. I like music, I got many friends in freelance music production, so working with music videos seems like a nobrainer. I still dig programming, so ui/ux animation nudge that spot too.
Hello, My name is Dominic and I leave in Quebec, Canada, I have been working as a motion graphics artist for 23 years for the National Defense of Canada, especially with After Effects, Premiere, A little Cinema 4D, combustion, etc. I learned VFX on my own with tutorials and I just graduate from School of Motion in VFX for motion course. I did a few VFX contracts for independent cinema, I would like to hone more skills in order to build a good portfolio to get more contracts.
Hello everyone My name is Ivan Nkemakolam and I am a VFX artist, upcoming game developer, and motion designer. I love everything that has to do with CGI, and I like to learn everything about it for both film and video games, I animate in 3D. I do 3D modeling, texturing, rendering, rigging, and pretty much everything that involves creating anything in CGI or in post-production, I started as a video editor and I still edit a lot and get a lot of projects on that side. For compositing, I use a lot of after-effects and know the ins and outs pretty well.
I want to join the community because I want to be able to learn from other VFX artists new techniques and ways of accomplishing tasks, and also I want to be able to get more VFX gigs to work on to expand my experience in that field and maybe makes partners or join a team here in the community.
