Is it just me or are there 3-ish camps emerging around GenAI? Where are you on this "spectrum"?
- The bullish vendors, in the vanguard of GenAI, saying it's going to take over the world, it can do anything, etc. They seem to ignore, or at least don't mention -- in fact, hide in their marketing -- any negative aspects or poor performance?
- The bearish buyers, the laggards if you will, who see nothing but bad in GenAI. They can range from disgruntled, under-whelmed tyre-kickers who have cancelled their ChatGPT Plus subs, all the way to the frightened or the disinterested who haven't touched GenAI and have no intention to.
- The cautious skeptics in the middle who see some value, but they're also aware of the drawbacks. They "see" the gap between GenAI hype and reality, but they're not sure what to do about it.
I've seen #1 and #2 for months now, but I'm seeing #3 more and more -- but maybe it's personal bias? I'm not sure -- would love your perspectives? Thank you!
