I used to tell myself these 3 lies, and they were single handedly the cause of my downfall, I bet theyâre yours too:
1ď¸âŁ âI would take more care of my mind and body, but Iâm just far too busyâ
First of all, you might think âworking on your businessâ or something else should take priority over caring for your body and mind- FALSE.
Without looking after them, youâre going to get burnt out and fatigued so easily on whatever it is youâre working on, everything will come crashing down and youâll fall back into your bad habits.
Take a look at what it is you do in your spare time, is there REALLY no room for a spare 30-60 minutes where you can get in some good habits like journalling, stretching, reading etc?
2ď¸âŁ âThis week is a writeoff, but Iâll start again on Monday and ACTUALLY stick to it this timeâ
Recognise your toxic cycle- have you ever ACTUALLY just stuck to something out of sheer willpower? Sure, maybe for a couple of weeks, but then you end up back at square one, sucked back in by your bad habits.
Stop with the âall or nothingâ attitude- abandoning whole weeks after one bad day. They happen! The key to staying consistent is getting right back on with your habits and routine the next day and not letting a bad day turn into a bad week, month, or LIFE!
Make a change- taking the same approach and expecting a difference result is MADNESS! Take the time on a Sunday to plan your week, set a routine, and put barriers in place to avoid your bad habits.
3ď¸âŁ âIâm stuck in a rut at the moment, it will take a LOT of effort and willpower to get me out of itâ
Revert back to basics- If youâre feeling stuck in a rut, itâs likely that your bad habits are the reason for keeping you there. Focus on these first. Take the time to spot the patterns and triggers and replace them with something healthy.
Start small- To get you out of the rut you need to gain momentum. Donât go crazy and try to change everything at once- youâre doomed to fail this way. Start by creating a simple, strong routine of 3-4 habits that you can consistently do. After a few weeks you will have the energy and momentum to start progressing in other areas.

Have you been guilty of any of these lies? I DEFINITELY have in the past.
