Still Game manager and captain Mo, sidelined due to injury, provided instructions from the side. His absence on the field was evident as his squad struggled to penetrate the robust Old Shields defense.
The defenders maintained their shape and composure, expertly protecting their box. Old Shields' keeper delivered an exceptional performance, thwarting every attempt from Still Game.
With such a commanding display, Old Shields have emerged as strong contenders for the over 35s title. They also look poised to challenge many Premiership teams in the upcoming BigBroSoccer Summer Champions League.
Man of the Match honors go to Mohammed Almutirey of Old Shields. Special mentions to Abdul Elah and Yusuf Issam, the latter for his outstanding goalkeeping, who also put in stellar performances.
PRE-MATCH HEADLINES:
& both genuinely believe they can claim the 'Best Of The Rest' status in the Over 35's. Pundits are expecting Rosehill & LDT to be fighting for the title but unsure as to who would claim 3rd spot given the increases competition.
Old Shieldz were impressive in their win over Elites FC whilst Still Game put up a good fight against the Champions. This should be another cracking a game!
