CYCLE BREAKERS: A Moment Of Gratitude
Just wanted to express my deep and overwhelming gratitude for the people here and everywhere that have the courage to show up for themselves, look deeeeep in the mirror in order to BREAK THE CYCLE!
As a teacher having worked in around a hundred different schoolsI have been deeply confronted and often troubled by the depth of conditioning and the "myth of normal" that suffocates human creativity, and shames our sensitivities, in the institutions society places all its trust in. I used to be so overwhelmed, outraged, and saddened by what I felt as an "injustice" to the human spirit. The authoritarian approach. The naming and shaming. The labelling. The putting into boxes. GAHHHH!!!
However, these days (thank God) I'm now regulated enough that I can stand in the middle of it, breathe, and become the witness, observing it all (both light and shadow) without judgement and with curiosity. From this place I also observe and connect with the sacred, rebellious rage that exists inside of me, in a healthy way, allowing this to fuel my passion for helping humanity heal and wake up to their true nature as love.
For those who are fed up, angry, tired, or deeply saddened and troubled as you observe or feel the atrocities occurring on our planet at this time... do not give up. Do not give up on YOU because the world needs you WHOLE, you need you to be WHOLE... and hungry for change. Take that sacred rage and put it into your work, into being the change you wish to see in the world. This rage is sacred because it is the fire we can draw upon to challenge old systems and create new ones.
As Picasso once said, "every act of creation is first an act of destruction." It takes some firey energy to tear old structures down. As cycle breakers we must embrace the destruction of old identities, old egoic structures, old ways of existing and thinking on this planet in order to create new solutions, ideas, and change the world for the better. This is the work of warriors, the shadow walkers, the light bringers.
Lately I've been learning to hold both gratitude, love, and curiosity, alongside my sacred and rebellious rage - giving it a voice and a place in my conscious being. And boy have I experienced a potent shift within myself. I feel more whole. We are capable of holding soooo many emotions simultaneously once we learn how by cultivating compassion for all parts of ourselves. This shit is MAGIC!!
Comment below if any of this resonates I'd love to hear your thoughts!
