Very interesting to see this offer from Inchcape plc on a new Audi RS e-tron GT this morning. The dealership group is offering a 拢48,652! Deposit contribution towards the finance on a brand new Audi RS e-tron GT a car with a list price of 拢132,995.
That is a contribution from the dealer of 36.6% towards a brand-new car 馃槷
WOW
This illustrates the significant problem that is now present in the UK with electric cars. Driven by terrible residual values for cars caused by demand not being present in the used car market for electric cars making them unattractive to owners, finance companies, lease companies, and dealerships. In addition with limited battery warranty on electric cars which when it comes to replacement of the batteries typically costs more than the value of the car effectively gives these cars a life span of ~10 years!
I am interested to hear your thoughts on this matter
