I think I broke my chatGPT
So, I have it using my voice, thank-you so much Kim, and am playing with asking it to come up with short-form video ideas in each of my 5 pillars of content around my avatar. It has been working great, and I am so excited to start creating and sharing. I have already generated 9 prompts, and my AI chatbot is now pulsing and appears to be overwhelmed. I think I will shut it down and give it some rest. Has anyone else encountered this issue with their AI chatbot?

We were just discussing this on a coaching call this past week. Myself, Kim and others have had this happen especially in certain trained chat threads. I'll let weigh in on this one. If it's a thread you have a lot of information in and you need to start over, you could always save it into a Google doc so you can easily copy and paste it back into a new chat. Hope this helps and keep us posted on whether the reboot worked or not.

Step 1: Simplify and Clarify Your Prompts
  • Trim the Fat: Start by stripping your requests down to their essence. If your ChatGPT is getting tangled in complex prompts, simplify. Break your big ideas into bite-sized pieces. For example, instead of asking for everything about a pillar in one go, focus on one aspect at a time. It’s like decluttering your closet; you’re making space for the AI to breathe and respond better.
Step 2: Reset and Refresh
  • Give It a Minute: Literally, take a minute. If your ChatGPT seems to be on the fritz, it could just need a quick pause. Shut it down, grab yourself a cup of coffee, and then restart. Sometimes, a little rest is all it needs to get back on track.
Step 3: Engage in a Two-Way Conversation
  • Ask Me Anything (AMA) Session: Taking a cue from Malik’s flipped interaction pattern, turn the tables. Prompt your ChatGPT to ask you questions. It’s like playing hot potato but with ideas. This approach not only makes your AI more precise in its responses but also deepens your creative brainstorming process. You could say, “Okay, let’s switch roles. What do you need to know from me to nail these video ideas?”
Step 4: One Thing at a Time
  • Step-by-Step Strategy: Embrace the power of progression. Instead of overwhelming your ChatGPT with the whole enchilada, ask it to tackle one thing at a time. This methodical approach keeps both you and your AI focused and productive. You could structure it like, “Let’s break down our first content pillar. What’s the initial step for brainstorming video ideas?”
Step 5: Keep a Close Eye
  • Monitor and Adjust: Pay attention to how your ChatGPT responds after these adjustments. If you notice improvements, great! If it’s still a bit sluggish, consider further simplifying or even rephrasing your prompts. The key is to remain flexible and patient.
Step 6: Share Your Experience
  • Feedback Loop: Once you’ve tried these strategies, share your experience back in the 🤖 here. Your insights could be incredibly valuable to others facing similar challenges.

No this can't be right, must be your connection or something, i run 100's if not 1000's of prompt queries and the lag non existent.

I think I understand the problem, if you have custom data or long treads, what can happen is that our queries can become contradictory or ambiguous which can lead to increased processing times : The way i would deal with it is by apply the following to techniques:
  1. **Flipped Interaction Pattern**: This is like playing a game where you let the chatbot ask you questions first before it gives you an answer. For example, if you’re asking for a personalized fitness routine, you could say, “From now on, please ask me questions until you have enough information to create a personalized fitness routine.”
This will allow / force the Ai to ask you questions where it’s “not sure” and at the same time gets you more refined results
  1. **Think Step by Step**: If you want the chatbot to think carefully, tell it to think ‘step by step’. For example, “What are the stages of planning a successful event? Let’s think step by step.”
This applies to both us and the Ai , this is amazing simple yet difficult as it requires some extra effort from our side, the results are amazing and responses are super fast.
