It was challenging enough getting used to talking to companies that are outsourcing customer service (this is happening all over the world) now we have to get used to talking to AI when we want to place an order, ask a question, make a reservation ... etc. And this is becoming the norm. Its not just restaurants, its many industries. They are no longer just recording messages, AI is picking up the phone for individuals when someone calls their mobile (Google assistant is a great example).
