PANIC TARGET
In archery is a common phenomenon among archers that occurs when they are about to shoot. It happens when the sight is focused on the center of the target (usually yellow), triggering anxiety and physiological reactions such as fear, increased heart rate, and sweating. This can lead to shifting the aim away from the center of the target, affecting performance. In short, it is an involuntary response that can deteriorate shooting accuracy due to the anxiety generated when aiming at the center of the target.
