Just a Weekend Reminder That You SHOULD be Doing Fun Things
I know you probably see everyone talking about how work should be done for 12 hours everyday otherwise “You’re not gonna make it”, I think people have a misconception of what “working hard” should actually look like.
Working hard is setting goals, and crushing them, even on days you don’t feel like it.
Working hard is tackling the next obstacle that needs to be done, even when you know 90% of other people would turn away.
Working hard is sacrificing pleasures to be more focused and productive when working.
Working hard doesn’t mean to become a social retard and lock yourself in your room.
I’m starting to have my Sunday as a “Funday” I know it sounds gay as fuck but hear me out.
Sunday’s I don’t usually work, I’ll get things done around the house but I’ll also look for some sort of activity that is social to do.
This doesn’t mean to start pounding back 6 packs and taking bong rips until you’re unconscious, but it does mean that you have to understand that in order to sustain a busy and hard working lifestyle, you need fuel to continue driving that vehicle.
This “fuel” can be meal prepping, catching up with friends, going for long walks on nature, long meditation sessions, going out for a meal.
None of these activities are degenerate, and it certainly doesn’t mean that just because you aren’t actively working you are falling behind.
Lots of people, including myself, almost feel guilty when doing anything that isn’t work, even if it’s a “good habit”.
Start understanding that activities (THAT AREN’T DAMAGING) are essential to actually succeeding. Because what’s success when you’re a social retard who hasn’t gone outside (besides the gym) in 6 months.
Now, I don’t call this balance, I call this sustaining. You aren’t balancing a healthy and hard working lifestyle, you are sustaining or supplementing it.
Balance would be doing things on the opposite end of the spectrum to ensure you aren’t falling too far on one side.
Balance is not possible, it is 100% on one side, that side is your new life, and you need to do things to FUEL that life you now have.
Let’s fucking crush it, if you read this far you’re a G and that’s a huge sign that you’ll succeed far beyond the competition.
