Claude 3.7 Sonnet is out

Unless you have been asleep you will see that Claude has released its new 3.7 model. This model is capable of system 1 and system 2 thinking. i.e fast thinking and reasoning. Its a hybrid model which is apparently tuned for real world business use and not specificaly for math.

I just fired up Cursor and Claude 3.7 sonnet is available as claude-3.7-sonnet and claude-3.7-sonnet-thinking models.

They have also release Claude Code, an agentic coding tool. This is in a limited research preview. It is currently waitlisted. You can stick your emaiul down to get on the list.

When i asked Claude when its knowledge cutoff date was, it answered "My knowledge cutoff date is the end of October 2024"

Looks like I have some exploration to do on the way to work.
