World Building Tools & Tips
I was wondering how everyone who writes Sci-Fi or Fantasy handle World Building. Recently, I've been overdoing it and losing focus. I can spend more time plotting out the world instead of actually attempting to write the book! How much planning do you do for your novels? I saw there are websites like Campfire and World Anvil where you can store information or use in codex's later like with Novel Crafter but unsure if it is just double handling a workload by writing it out, making a site or wiki as interesting as possible before using any of it later.

@Russell Scott I will certainly give this a shot.

@Tracie Hicks I do like the look of Campfire. I saw they do offer lifetime purchases too rather than monthly fees. I guess I could try a free option for one or two entries and see how it goes.
Hello!
Hi, my name is Warren. Very new to novel writing and only recently discovered AI and how you can use this to assist with the process which led me to the YouTube channel and eventually over to here. Looking forward to contributing and learning how to utilise AI better as a tool and make it work for me. No plans on becoming the next big author, but it is on my bucket list to have something completed and on paper instead of just in my head.

@Stephan Richard I am from Australia, I have a particular Fantasy novel I have had churning through my mind for sometime however I recently found an interesting bit of history that I could put a bit of a sci-fi spin on things. Decided that AI might assist with fleshing out some of these ideas or come up with some interesting ideas I had not thought to include.
