I'm looking for a free course on creating thumbnails
Can anyone recommend a good thumbnail creation course on yt? I'm also concerned that the course should be based on free programs rather than paid ones. I've made no secret of the fact that making good thumbnails is something that is holding me back from developing. Video editing? There you go. Sound recording? No problem at all. Writing a script? Easy. But creating thumbnails? I have no idea either how to use free thumbnail creation software well or what a thumbnail should contain to be clickable. I very much hope for your help

@Mateusz Kwiatkowski I'm not sure bro, just good, free software, I'm not afraid of complicated programs as long as their use is well explained in the course.

@Mateusz Kwiatkowski I've just thought about it too, but I'm worried about viruses. If you would like to continue the topic we can talk privately, not in the comments.

Your Biggest Problems

At this point I do not take editing too seriously, I have some little experience, while frankly I do not even know where I should start. (On top of that, editing videos is not my priority for now, I joined this community just to practice editing skills in my free time). I'm sorry to say that for the time being I won't be a very active member due to a small amount of free time.

@Norman Zizoff I am currently focusing on learning the subconscious. (I still have about 1 month left of hard study of this topic and then I will switch to the next one). Then I want to learn better sales skills such as copywriting. Once I grasp that, I want to start offering my services. For now, I'm thinking about translation and transcription. (Skills I currently have). Alternatively, I'll add copywriting once I get more proficient at it. Then if I can't find any clients for a few months, I'll look into video editing. (Although I believe that for both copywriting and subtitling some editing skills are necessary, which is why I joined here, to find a supportive community in case of any problems, and of course when I gather more experience myself I would also like to help).
Double Your Success With Landing Clients With One Move
Put yourself in my perspective for a second… Imagine I was a potential client looking for an editor for my YouTube channel, and I viewed your social media page (IG, Twitter, etc.) … would I see the kinds of videos I’m looking for? Would I even see anything that resembles that of an editor at all? If it’s not abundantly clear that what you do is editing, and the editing you do is for a certain kind of person, then you are absolutely screwing yourself in terms of the amount of work you are missing out on. It’s a huge common mistake that I see is that a lot of people just don’t know or understand how to properly represent themselves and what they do online to get business. But good news… it’s pretty simple to fix. …DRUM ROLL PLEASE… 🥁 THE ONE THING THAT CAN 2X YOUR SUCCESS WITH LANDING CLIENTS: 🔥 FIX YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES 🔥 NOTE - This goes for every social media, but I’ll reference IG & Twitter below because I think they’re the most important ones mainly. This shows itself in your social media page bio… YouTube Video Editor @yourbiggestclient(s) 💻 1M+ Views DM Me To Work 📧 Link To My Portfolio ⬇️ [link] Or if you have no clients/little experience… Aspiring Video Editor 💻 DM Me To Work! Link To My Portfolio ⬇️ [link] This should also show itself in your content… On Instagram, treat it as a portfolio, showcase all of your client work (if they’re okay with it), caption should say what the video is and maybe add some notes about the edit and how or why you did certain things. Add a call to action at the bottom of the post saying “DM me to work” On Twitter, showcase your work and add a little description of what it is & say “DM me to work” I’m not extremely familiar with Twitter, but start there, and then consider researching some more advanced strategies for attracting clients on Twitter. And most important for any social media platform you post on… make the content relevant to the ideal client you want to attract. Example: You wouldn’t post videos of music video edits if you wanted to attract Educational YouTubers, just doesn’t make sense… maybe down the line when you’ve established yourself and want to branch your client base, but you need to niche down in the beginning.
