Question about TikTok Store Accounts
I changed my TikTok to include their online store functionality, but now I am seeing I can't use my own music again for my posts. Does anyone know if adding a store to your TikTok account turns it into a business account?

For Artists Who Don't Have Merch... Get Shopify FREE for 4 months
Earlier this year I went to the Operation Hope conference and had the chance to meet John Hope Bryant, who's organization raised $4 billion to help Black businesses. You can learn more about him here: https://operationhope.org/about/our-founder/ As a part of their mission, they've partnered with Shopify to create 1 Million Black Businesses and are giving a 4 month free trial. This is perfect if you're an artist and want to set up your Shopify store to sell merch. No cost to start. Extra Tip: Connect your Shopify with Printify or Printful which will allow you dropship items with no overhead cost. Here's the link: https://www.shopify.com/1mbb If this helps you, show me some love on social media. You can find me on every platform by typing "Bunduke" or clicking here: https://social.bunduke.com/links

JR McKee - "Experience Content" Over Everything!
JR McKee mentioned something very important in Brandman's recent interview with him. He said that his theory is that inviting your audience into an experience with your content is going to become the new norm. That means more behind the scenes reels, content of you walking your audience through your show rehearsals, etc... Any content that can highlight your art while also showcasing your personality is going to be key. How are you creating experiences for your audience through your content? Comment below!

Sync Licensing?
Has any one here ever had a song featured on a commercial, tv show, movie or a video game? How did you get the opportunity & how would someone in the network go about doing the same for themselves?

look into signing with a Sync Licensing company. They have the relationships with the music supervisors who are in charge of syncing music into tv & film productions.
Music Sync for Indie Artists
Hey BMN members, I'm new to the group and looking forward to networking, growing and definitely collaborating with the networkers. So my question to all of you is should independent artists make music for Sync opportunities or is it not as well paid as say if you were a well known artist?

Definitely make music for sync. It's very competitive so I suggest you build relationships with a reputable sync licensing company and/or music supervisor.
