Day 5: Grow Your List Challenge
Today you’ll be posting a snippet from your newsletter on social media. One of the best ways to do this is with a carousel post or reel with this framework: Image 1: The topic you’re covering Image 2: Tip #1 Image 3: Tip #2 Image 4: Tip #3 Image 5: Link or call out to your newsletter for more information like what you just shared. On Instagram, this is very easy. Choose one picture and then add text over and over to create a carousel like I did here: https://www.instagram.com/p/C_xzwd6PcIR/?igsh=NDdibnZpcGNxNXV6 Or, you can use Canva to create a simple carousel that feels on brand. Post a link when you’re done and then cheer someone else on by showing their post love.

Day 4: Grow Your List Challenge
Today, you will do something to help propel your newsletter sign-ups in the future. Although you might not see immediate results from your efforts, consistent pitching and outbound requests like these are important to bake into your regular marketing. Choose a podcast that you feel comfortable pitching. If you’re newer to the podcasting realm, you might want to choose one where you know the host, or is a little bit smaller so you can get your podcasting sea legs. If you’re experienced in the podcasting circuit, find a new podcast to pitch! Post the name of the podcast you pitched below or drop an emoji to share you did it if you’re not comfortable sharing who you reached out to. Here’s a template you can use when pitching: Hi [HOST NAME], I’m interested in being a guest on [SHOW NAME]. I love your show because I’ve heard how much you pour into [AUDIENCE NAME]. These are my people too! Here’s what I can talk about during our interview: - Takeaway 1 - Takeaway 2 - Takeaway 3 If you think this would be well aligned with your listener’s needs, please let me know how to get an interview on your schedule.

Today’s task will be much faster and easier than yesterday’s! The goal is to make it super easy for people to find your opt-in page. 1. Add your opt-in URL to your Instagram and/or Facebook bio 2. BONUS: Add your opt-in URL to your LinkedIn page 3. BONUS: Add your opt-in URL to your Pinterest profile When you’re done, comment below with your profile URL – and go follow a few relevant people while you’re at it too so we can all grow together.

Day 1: Grow Your List Challenge
Before we start sending traffic to your pages, let’s tighten up your opt-in page to convert more people into subscribers. Today’s task: Choose any of these tips to update your opt-in page. 1. Keep it simple: Have a lot of text on your pages? Trim it back to just a headline, 2-3 sentence description, and call-to-value (what’s in it for them when they subscribe).  2. Eliminate fields: Don’t make your audience jump through hoops to join. Just ask for a first name and email address. 3. Add a picture of you: People want real people in their inboxes. Add a picture of you to your opt-in page so they know who they get to hear from each week/month. BONUS: If you’re looking to really ratchet up the subscribers, add in one of these elements: - Testimonial from a subscriber - Subscriber count - Testimonial from a buyer - A lead magnet: Add a bribe to get people to join, such as a discount, sample, checklist, or 15-minute consultation. When you’re done, post the link to your opt-in page here. Here’s what mine looks like for reference. Must be done within 24 hours to be entered to win.

Yes! I have some work to do today. I don't actually have a separate page or modal for opting in, it's on the top of my blog page, which I think is part of the problem! So, I'm going to start by creating a separate page altogether for opting into emails & newsletters which will allow me to expand into newsletters soon! I'm also going to add a quick action modal on the homepage for opting in, which is super common right now.
