Day 9: List Growth Challenge
Today’s not about talking up your own newsletter for a change. It’s about sharing the spotlight with others, linking arms with fellow creators, and growing together. Today, you’re shouting out someone else’s newsletter! If you’re on Substack, restack their newsletter. If you’re on Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn, pull a quote from a recent blog, podcast, or newsletter and share it along with a link to opt-in to their content. Be sure to tag the creator in your post so they see it. Ideally, they’ll chime in with a thank you and might even share your post, shouting them out, which will help you garner attention. At the very least, you’ll get goodwill. Here's an example of one of my posts shouting out another creator. Pro tip: You don’t need to shout out people with massive lists. Instead, pick some of the people who are at a similar level or just ahead of you on the list growth journey. Post a link to your post here when you’re done.
