POLL: How much should a good book cover cost? I know a lot of authors who struggle with their book covers. They overthink about how much they should cost and also have trouble finding an honest designer to work with online. I fee like this should be a solvable problem if: 1. Authors have the right expectations about what a good cover will cost. 1. There is a verified list of trusted designers that authors can choose from. Personally, I think that a lot of authors overthink their cover design. Sure, a good cover is important, but it's not the MAKE-OR-BREAK-thing that so many authors think that it is. A "good enough" cover is better than no cover (or getting ripped off for hundreds or thousands of dollars). So, I've invited some designers into this group.
