No 🦃 near gameday
As we near thanksgiving here in the 🇺🇸 I know turkey is a big part of the meal for a lot of people. I wanted to give you a warning on 🦃 as that relates to peak physical performance on or near any gameday play/tournament etc… There was a D1 (biggest College competition in USA) University team I was helping. They were ranked in the top 20 (#16 I think). The team I was helping were supposed to easily beat the unranked team they were playing. As I watched the game the whole team was lethargic. Looked like they were half asleep (cause they pretty much were). I have seen this time & again. In case you’re wondering my team got destroyed and it wasn’t even close. I asked after the game what did they eat for pregame meal 😔 ➡️ 🦃 In my opinion you DON’T want to eat turkey (especially here in America because of the other things in it) the day before & definitely not the day you are trying to perform at your best 🛑 On multiple occasions I have personally seen performance dwindle with those I’ve worked with. This silent deadly bird is not a good pregame meal. I would suggest chicken breast instead or even better is red meat (steak, roast beef, elk, bison, hamburger etc…). The link to some other nutritional suggestions have already been posted, so check that out. I’m curious what other foods people have seen as not a good pregame meal? Pls share to help everyone… Stay strong, stay steady M3H2 Battle Ready!
