Poll: 1.3 Why obvious, simple, and easy is wrong
Hey peeps, I've just started the 3rd video and I'm curious to see what people pick when given the option between a course that's hard to sell and one that's easy to sell. What was your choice?

Hi Paola, thank you for the poll! I believe "hard to sell" is the way but I'm still struggling to figure out the "how" part. As far as I understood, it must be a combination of: - finding a specific problem you want to solve - which isn't linguistic - (but what if that specific problem is shared by a large number of people? Will my niche be too wide?) - have a strategy to solve that specific problem - as your offer will be tailored on that specific necessity, you can raise your prices Here you have the "hard to sell", as the prices are higher and you won't address everyone's needs, but a specific group of people. Does this make sense to you, guys?

@Paola Natalucci your insight is really inspiring to me. Can a niche be shaped by a teaching method? In my case, I'm working with people that benefit (or think they benefit) by visual materials (sketch notes, schemes and images) that I create around their learning needs. This is part of the identity of one of my courses, that make students choose me among many other teachers.

Five $100K revenue options for teachers
Here is some food for thought: Earning $100K per year means $274 per day. Here are 5 of many ways to do it in your teaching business: 1. Paid community: 277 clients @ $30/month 2. Subscription content: 833 people @ $10/month 3. Self-study courses: 3 sales per day @ $91 4. Service-based courses: 15 sales per month @ $548 5. Personalized 1:1 coaching: 19 hours per week @ $100/hour If you’re just starting, choose one. Get it up and running, and then when you’re comfortable, add another one. Diversification is your friend here - there’s very little risk. In a perfect world, these would all be used as a ladder for the same transformation you help your clients with. Hope this helps.

Thank you! This sound very interesting. I'm wandering if paid community and paid subscription contents really work in a YouTube and Instagram world. Also, I'm not very confident with "service-based courses": what are they?

Thanks for your explanation! :)

Thank you, the video is really interesting. I'm adding here that from my experience I've learnt to listen to my self doubts, trying not to be trapped in them. Do I feel my imposter syndrome kicking in? I can choose to listen to it and see if I can ask somebody to help me or to make a small step to solve part of it. This is actually the reason why I'm here! I believe self-doubts can be a chance to tackle some insecurities and keep going stronger.
Suggestion Box
I'm quite new to Teacherpreneur Support Network so I'm still getting the knack of it. I was wondering if we could suggest some topics of interest and exploration. Some of my own are: -Systematization: keeping it simple for both teachers and students so accessing notes can be easily done to, for instance, recycle lexis. -Free or low-cost resources: living in a country that's unfortunately in the middle of an economic crisis makes it sometimes quite hard to pay for some apps, such as ChatGPT, or even impossible because there's no access to it, like AI Chat on Quizlet. -Integrating Lexical Approach, TBLT and decoding (listening) -Making Headway in 1-hour per week 1:1 courses. Thanks in advance!

Hi Celia! Not sure if this will be useful for you, but I'm using canvas.com as a whiteboard to share on my online lessons, that allows me to download the work done and send it to my students afterwards. It has really nice graphic features that I can use to make my schemes more engaging and eye-catching. I hope this helps!
