Hello everyone, I am new to this and I am looking to gain experience in fingerprinting. I have been interested in fingerprinting for sometime. I’m glad I have you guys to consult with if I’m needing any assistance and hopefully after studying and doing the things that I need to I too will be able to help someone very soon. I have recently started my consulting company. I’m located in Houston Texas.

Is it ok to use a copy of a card to do a finger print that will be sent to the FBI? I have a potential client that wants a FD-258 card (which I have) and a FD-1164 card (which I do not have)?

Happy Saturday Everyone! Clarifying question: Is the certification necessary if you don’t live in California? I’m asking because I’m getting different answers. Just wondering what am I getting from the certification training. That info is still a little vague as well.
