Read the comments!
I say it again and again: The true value in a post is often not in the post itself, but in the comments. I really like reading comments because you often find out about things there that have a really high value. Yes, many posts are great, but especially on Skool the value often lies in the exchange and what you find there. Thanks @Jonathan Boshoff for this great comment:-) lg Calvin

New Admin Feature
Hello everyone, WSM Eddie Hall here. Love that you guys are doing with Skool, about to launch my Academy tonight 7pm Uk time. I have a feature request... I'd like to be able to give an admin permission to "ghost write" on my account. This is where they can post into the community as me. Would love to hear back from the Skool team. Big Love, The BEAST™️

Welcome @Eddie Hall! That's a good feature. In the meantime, I can suggest a workaround. Have one account called "Eddie Hall Group Admin" or something. For managing courses, members, etc. Then add a public-facing Eddie Hall account to your group that posts and interacts with the community. Then you've got the best of both worlds.
Group name + SEO
I know we have quite a few SEO pro's in here so would love to hear from you on this. What do we think re the name of our group for SEO, it is essential for it to be SEO rich with keywords, or is it more the description and group content that is most important? For example - should we defo use a name like "Knitting and Crochet for Beginners" or is using a name we just love but doesn't have key words OK? I know we can do either, but keen to know for SEP purposes if adding keywords in the name (and url) is of upmost importance (or not). Thanks!

Hi @Jade Jemma, SEO guy here. I'd recommend having a unique name. For example, my Skool group is the "AI SEO Academy". And when you google "AI SEO Academy" my group shows up in search results. However, if I named my group something like "Learn AI for SEO" my group would have been drowned out in search results by tons of blog posts on this subject. Ranking for a unique name is much easier.

@Jade Jemma yes. However, it's also important to keep in mind what you can realistically rank for versus shooting for an ultra-high competition keyword and not ranking at all. You could do a hybrid name. Like "Brandname - Knitting and Crochet for Beginners". Best of both worlds!
Add filters to in-Skool search results to improve contributions
I noticed that Skool groups have filters. So you can set it to the most recent posts. But these filters don't show when you search for something. For example, if I search the Skool Community for "SEO" intending to find recent posts of people asking SEO questions that I may be able to help with, I see old posts from 2023. If you apply the same filtering options to Skool search result pages, I could find the latest posts of people asking about SEO, and contribute my specific expertise where it's needed. This feature would allow users who are looking to help others with their areas of expertise as well.

SEO when going public from a private group
Our group is private But we have tons of useful contents and it’s growing I want to know if at some point we go public does it help to be found on the search engines How does it work exactly?

@Amir Khajavi RE: How does it work exactly? When you switch to public, there is a "noindex" directive removed from all your pages. This "noindex" directive tells Google not to index any pages found within your pages. Switching it to public removes that rule. And then you just need to wait for Google to start indexing the pages.
