Today I had a call with Google and discovered an interesting fact about how views are attributed on each channel. If you think you are getting more views on TikTok or Instagram/Facebook Reels here is the reason why! On TikTok a view is counted after one second and on Instagram/Facebook reels they are counted after 3 seconds of watch time. But YouTube shorts views are only counted after 10 seconds of watch time... 10 seconds!! So if you think your YouTube short views are lower don't be disheartened this is a good thing, you know if you get a view on YouTube that it is wayyyy more qualified than other channels. Think of it as Quality over Quantity
