๐Ÿ‹๏ธ My honest thoughts on Crossfit
Alright guys, so I tried Crossfit for 4 weeks, 2x a week. My honest verdict: I got leaner quicker, yes. BUT, I also: #1: lost muscle mass #2: got hungrier #3: was more exhausted, and also irritable. #4: my sex drive went down. High intensity exercise does that to your body. The more intense the sessions, the bigger the repercussions. Strength Training + Walking 10k Steps is the way. Just my thoughts, drop a ๐Ÿ’ช if this was helpful!

Gotta be quac. Not a fan of chickpeas at all, powder, beans or sauce.
Intermittent fasting - does taking supplements trigger digestion?
So Iโ€™m doing restrictive eating daily. 12-8 window everyday. I usually wait until I break my fast to take my vitamins and supplements. Some of my supplements (vit D+K) has coconut oil in the capsule. Doesnโ€™t that start the chemicals in your stomach to say fasting has stopped? Iโ€™m told no, but thatโ€™s also by people who drink bulletproof coffee. So Iโ€™m not 100% convinced and playing it safe to get full fasted benefits.

Favorite Plant-Based Protein Bars?
I'm curious if anyone has found plant-based protein bars with good macros that you'd recommend? So far, the only ones that I've found with good macros are these 3 brands: - No Cow (nocow.com) - Yubi (yubibar.com) - Simply Protein (these bars are the only ones I could find with good macros) I think my favorite I've tried is the Simply Protein bar, I'm not a huge fan of the No Cow flavors. I've heard good things about Yubi but haven't tried it yet. I like Clif Builder Bars too but they don't quite fit the macros I'm looking for โ€” I usually aim for at least a 1:10 protein to calories ratio if I can find it for protein sources. Let me know if there's any vegan protein bars you'd recommend! ๐Ÿซ๐ŸŒฑ

If anyone knows of a retailer that sells NoCow bars in Canada, Iโ€™d love that info. So far, US only.

Max protein intake per meal
Been seeing conflicting info out there โ€œyour body can only digest 35g of protein and gets rid of the restโ€ while others eat one meal a day and keep seeing gains. Trying to maximize intake, has anyone found the real answer?
